application guide!
there's a few different application techniques for applying your press on nails, depending on how long you're looking to wear them!
No matter how you apply the press-ons, the nail prep beforehand is the most important step.
Always start with clean dry hands.
1. (Optional - for longer lasting applications) push your cuticles back using the wooden stick & trim if necessary.
2. Buff the surface of your nails so they are even. This gives the nail and adhesive something to grip on to.
3. Use alcohol wipes to remove the dust and oils off your nails. You want your nails to be as clean and dehydrated as possible for the press-ons to last longer.
note: it is easier to apply starting with your pinky fingers moving towards your thumbs ✨
for short term wear, up to 2 days
OPTION 1: Adhesive sticky tabs
1. Apply sticky tabs that cover the full length of your nails.
2. (Optional) Heat each sticky tab with a blowdryer to warm the adhesive.
3. Place the press-on on your nail and hold down firmly for 45 seconds. Avoid getting your hands wet for a few hours after application.
OPTION 2: Nail glue
Apply a thin strip of glue on your nail, from the cuticle to the tip. Starting at 45 degree angle, align press-on at the base of your nail and press downwards. Firmly press down on the sides of the nail for 45 seconds.
for long term wear, up to 2-3 weeks
note: for longer term wear, I highly suggest NYK1 Super Strong NailBond Glue.
1. Apply a generous amount of glue on the nail, and spread close to the edges (being careful not to apply too close to the skin, as the pressure will cause the glue to disperse).
2. Apply a small amount on the press-on nail, and apply to your nail. Starting at 45 degree angle, align press-on at the base of your nail and press downwards. Firmly press down on the sides of the nail for 45 seconds.
3. Avoid water for a few hours after application.
note: if nail glue bleeds onto your skin, use 100% acetone to wipe it off.
how to remove
1. fill a bowl with warm water and soap (optional - some people also like to add a little olive oil as well!)
2. Soak your fingers for at least 15 minutes.
3. Using the cuticle pusher, check the edge of the nails - if they lift up, the nails should easily pop off. If it requires too much force to lift off, let them soak longer. (Please don't rush this part! Patience is key. You will ruin your nails if you force them off too early.)
4. There will be glue residue on your nails - lightly buff them with the mini buffer and finish off with cuticle oil to maintain your nail health.
